Historic Dental Education Milestone: New Dental School Opens in New York After 100 Years

A major development in global dental education—Yeshiva University has launched the Yeshiva University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, marking the first new dental school in the city in more than a century.
Located near Herald Square in Manhattan, the school will welcome its first batch of students in July 2026 and aims to train dentists using advanced digital technology and early clinical exposure.

Program: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
Duration: Accelerated 3-year program (instead of the usual 4 years)

The clinic is expected to treat hundreds of patients daily, improving access to dental care in the city.
